Jamaica Sets the Stage for Major Agribusiness Growth with Launch of JAIF 2025

Kingston, Jamaica
– In a bold move to unlock investment opportunities and transform the agricultural landscape, the Agro-Investment Corporation (Agro-Invest) in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining, officially launched the Jamaica Agri-Business Investment Forum (JAIF) 2025 on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at The Serengeti, Hope Gardens. The event brought together key stakeholders from government, the private sector, and the media to unveil what is expected to become Jamaica’s premier platform for agribusiness investment and innovation.


Set to take place from September 17 to 19, 2025, at the Montego Bay Convention Centre, JAIF 2025 is being held under the powerful theme: “Sustainable Agri-Business: Global Reach, Local Impact.” The three-day event commencing with a cocktail and welcome reception on September 17, 2025, and two forum days on September 18 to 19, is expected to attract over 400 in-person participants including local and international investors, entrepreneurs, government officials, development partners, and Agri-industry leaders.


Speaking on the vision behind the Forum, Deputy Chairman of Agro-Investment Corporation, Mrs. Trisha Williams-Singh shared, “JAIF 2025 reflects the strategic direction and oversight that the Board of Agro-Invest has championed, one that prioritizes investment-readiness, innovation, and resilience in the agricultural sector. As Deputy Chairman, I am particularly proud that this Forum will serve as a high-level platform to align policy, private capital, and technical expertise in a way that delivers measurable outcomes for Jamaica’s agribusiness landscape. It is a decisive move to position agriculture as a true engine of economic growth.”


Mr. Vivion Scully, CEO of Agro-Invest, further underscored the strategic goals of the forum, stating that, “JAIF 2025 will connect people, capital, and ideas. Through curated pitch sessions, investment showcases, and technical site visits, we are creating an ecosystem where real deals can happen; driving Jamaica’s agribusiness value chain forward in a sustainable and inclusive way.”


Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining, Hon. Floyd Green, also expressed the Government’s full commitment to leveraging the Forum as a transformative platform, emphasizing that, “The Jamaica Agri-Business Investment Forum 2025 signals our bold commitment to transforming the sectors of agriculture, fisheries, and mining into globally competitive, innovation-driven industries. This is not just a forum. It is a strategic action platform to attract local and international investment, accelerate technology adoption, and build a resilient, export-ready agri-business sector. By empowering our farmers, entrepreneurs, and youth, we are laying the foundation for inclusive growth and long-term food security that will secure Jamaica’s economic future.”


JAIF 2025 will focus on:

  • Fostering collaboration across the agricultural value chain

The event will also feature keynote addresses from national and international leaders, including:
